At Highview Kindergarten, we’re proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your child. By following our vision, we create a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all children.

The nursery is set in a delightful 180 year old stone built residence of great charm and immense character with spacious rooms and a very extensive outdoor provision. Ofsted commented that "the nursery is vibrant, stimulating and welcoming". The nursery occupies a pleasant and quiet location in Sharples, just off the A666, easily accessible from surrounding areas such as: Astley Bridge, Heaton, Smithhills, Horwich, Belmont, Egerton, Bromley Cross and Dunscar

Healthy eating is important to us and so is providing a nutritious menu and a well balanced diet.  Previously we have worked with the food trust and had our menus reviewed by nutritionist , we have been awarded a Food Trust Award and use guidance from the Schools Food Trust Eat Better, Start Better guidance.

We are proud partner of mini minds and have invested in this programme to support children's growth mindset, health and well being. Through a range of Dinosaurs such as Braveasaurus we explore what makes us unique , how to regulate emotions and it incorporates mindfulness, mediation and affirmations. We use books linked to the Dinosaurs and topics which follow a monthly Calander of ideas and activities that we embed through the month and share with parents.

We pride ourselves on having a professional team of qualified and very experienced nursery staff, many of them parents themselves, including an Early Years Professional (EYP) and degree level qualified staff.

Ofsted stated "The long standing manager and staff team have high expectations for the children in their care"

Our Team

Sacha Seabrook works closely with the Nursery Manager, Julie Fry (HNC), who is responsible for the day to day care, and together with their team they pride themselves on consistently maintaining a high standard of childcare with the emphasis being on learning through play experiences and opportunities, in the Early Years Foundations stage curriculum and Birth to Five Matters, which are implemented throughout the nursery.
